Atmospheres


is music and live sound or even filming to create atmosphere is liking giving the story of the song or a build up to create tension is a particular scene or piece of music.

an example would be when in jaws the song builds up and the two notes get faster and faster as this represents the shark and how close it is getting to its enemy.

arguably some people would say that you would need to have this particular attribute in a film and that they key thing about creating an atmosphere would be the music but some others would argue that it is not what is needed and an example of that would be in the film paranormal activity as there is no sounds in the music in a scene and it is very scary as it looks like its being filmed live from a cctv camera but stills gives people that scary atmosphere.

but on another way of looking at it there is a film called mama and there is a little girl singing a song which creates a scary atmosphere and although it doesn't build up the song you known there is something bad going to happen when the little girl starts singing the song.
